Easters

What a great time of year! Easters! The world recognizes the highpoint of the calendar for all those who follow Christ. We celebrate the death and resurrection of our Savior! Yeah there has been a lot of commercialism that has tried to diminish the true meaning, but it still is the time of year that we pay special attention to what happened from the cross to the grave!

Even the Easters egg hunt has steeped tradition in faith. The egg has been seen as a mythological symbol of rebirth for 1000's of years. In the 13th century Christianity adopted the egg to be a symbol of rebirth for the Christian. They even began to paint the eggs red to remember the blood of Christ that was shed!

Jennifer and I have our own Easters tradition! Every year, since it came out, we have watched The Passion of the Christ. It is the best possible video presentation of the torture that Jesus may have experienced, though I don't think we could ever grasp the actual extent of his torture. I would encourage you and your family to take time to watch The Passion sometime this Easters season!

Wishing you a very happy Easters!
Jeff

P.S. If you don't catch the "Easters" reference, you need to watch Nacho Libre!
